Personality: The short of it: Yosuke is an outgoing, slightly clumsy, snarky city kid stuck in a small town. While he very, very often sticks his foot in his mouth or otherwise makes an ass out of himself, he's still a sharp, capable, loyal young man whose heart is in the right place at the end of the day. His greatest fears are isolation, boredom, not belonging, and being useless. ~~And cockroaches.~~

Despite his clumsiness and his apparent knack for not watching what he says, he is capable of leadership. He is shown in canon to be one of the first to actually put two and two together, so to speak. He is also pretty good at reading people, even if he doesn't always act on this particular skill set. He is the one who does the most coordination work amongst the investigation team, and the main protagonist and he are pretty much the two leaders of the bunch. There's a reason they call each other "partner"!

Unfortunately, Yosuke does still have some growing up to do. He is a little bit of an asshole - goes hand in hand with opening his mouth before his brain kicks in long enough to tell him no. He can be pretty insulting, especially if you're not expecting to hear the unfiltered thoughts of a bored-but-smart high school kid. Heck, he ends up in fights with Chie (probably his closest female friend) constantly. But whenever he's called out on his assholery, he is usually appropriately apologetic. Though it may take him some time to actually correct his behavior (or at least learn to watch it), he does make an effort.

Other Notables: If I ever get castmates (which I doubt), I'll worry more about the actions/consequences of the protagonist, Yu Narukami (or Souji Seta, depending, I suppose). In the meanwhile, I'm rolling with the game's TRUE ENDING, as well as arbitrarily deciding that he did not pursue an intimate relationship with any of the girls. ~~Too bad Yu can't be a pimp like Minato. Geez.~~
