[ Yosuke didn't mean to be suspiciously silent all day! School happened, then work happened, and he kinda just wanted to faceplant at home after that. ViViD? Nah, not today. Though of course, if he'd known a certain teen idol friend of his had shown up, he probably would have made a huge exception... Oh well.
He's still a little out of it, but he hears his CereVice go off, so he reaches for it... and sits up straighter with eyes wide when he sees who the text is from. He grins. ] Dude, no way!!
[ And then, he hastily fires off a text back: ]
Rise!!! Yeah right like i'd forget you! I didnt know you were here!
[The text actually makes her smile, good going Yosuke. It's a relief to know that he's excited by the news and she leans back against the wall next to the door as she texts back.]
if you want proof, you should come outside!!
[Seriously. It's also just so she can see him and make sure he's in one piece. She won't rest easy until she does.]
[ That much is mutual - if she's here, then he wants to make sure she's okay. Especially after a first-time run through the damn ViViD. Oh man, what the heck could they possibly have thrown her way...?
He gets that text, and he doesn't even bother sending one back! He beelines to the door, opens it up with a slightly exaggerated swiiiiing. ]
Soooo... proof, huh?
[ He looks her over - just to see her. Just to know she's actually there. And she's okay. She's real. (For code. Or whatever. Whatever! That doesn't matter right now.) And his relief is absolutely obvious, written all over his face, plain as day. It's good to see her.
[She's standing there with her hands folded behind her back, peering up at him with a smile on her face. She'd expected him to immediately come to the door without texting back. That's just Yosuke's style.]
I'd be sad if you didn't. [She's teasing just to keep things light, too, even if she's giving him an inquisitive look. He seems to be okay and in one piece and that's good enough for her.] I've been looking for you, senpai. Maybe it's a good thing you skipped this game, but you could have made a guest appearance.
[ Looking for him, huh? So she must have run into Yu already! That's good. A part of him was worrying over having managed to skip out on ViViD the one time he probably shouldn't have, but if Yu was there for her (Of course he was, he realizes), that helps him breathe a bit easier. ]
Hey, if I'd known you were in there, I would have! Wouldn't want to leave a friend hanging like that on purpose! What did they even do this time? Do I wanna know?
Does anyone ever really know people are inside those games? [She has to wonder about that. It's a good thing Yu had come into ViViD either way. Yosuke asks the question though and her face contorts into something a little less happy.]
Ugh, it was terrible! They dropped us in a swamp and they took our clothes and gave us these weird yoga outfits and made us fight our way through slime and swamp monsters. And the shirts had these labels that were totally fake. [She shakes her head.] It was really weird.
I don't think so? I mean, if there's some sort of list of current players, I haven't found it yet.
[ Not that he's been looking - so far, he's only really used ViViD to pick up a few extra credits here and there as needed, or if Yu's asked him to join him. His efforts towards digging deeper into all of everything have definitely been elsewhere.
She answers his question, and he makes a pretty spectacular face on her behalf - like he's stepped on a bug and bitten into a lemon at the exact same time. ]
A swamp? What the hell were they even thinking? ... Wait. Labels? Labels like what? Oh man, were they like the titles that showed up when I got here?
[ Damn you, Ceres, he is not a "trashcanman"...! ]
Maybe that's something we can do. [There's a pause.] My Persona was able to scan inside that game, but I didn't try to scan very far. I was just looking for you and Yu-senpai. And why can we really use our Personas in that game anyway?
[That's something she's been wondering, but at least Yosuke has the same sympathies.] It's better than the trash heap they started some of us out in. [This hasn't been a great experience so far.] They weren't titles but I heard about that. They were labels on our shirt like nutrition labels. And they weren't even accurate.
I think it has something to do with us being code. Especially since we've used our Personas outside of that game, too.
[ Out in the jungle, against those ghosts... Blah. None of that is anything he particularly wants to dwell on, and that shows in the frown he's wearing. But hell if he's gonna shy away from giving his friend any answers.
Still, he shakes it off at the explanation of the labels - his eyebrows shoot up. ]
Yeah, that's not weird or anything. Though, wouldn't it be weirder if they were accurate?
The other Persona users can, too. [She's met Minato already and it strikes her as strange that there are others.] I guess that would make sense since the TV world sort of changed everything about us, too.
[She doesn't want to really talk about these things either. This is meant to be a lighthearted chat with Yosuke and not dwelling on just how bad this situation is.]
No weirder than all of those magazines back home knowing the same thing. And that's easy for you to say! You didn't see what some of them said. [Hmph!] They disappeared a little after I logged out of the game though, and after I cleaned up I came here. Maybe it doesn't matter anymore.
[Give her a minute to think.] Since Yu-senpai's the one who found me in the game, I think it's your turn to show me some things.
